A positive environmental impact assessment for the wind park Pischelsdorf was issued by the authority. This official notification is a very important milestone for the realisation of this project.
    Environmental impact assessment submission
    (October 22nd, 2004)
According to the law an environmental impact assessment has to be done for the wind park Pischelsdorf (total power is more than 20 MW). The environmental impact assessment is the most detailed and comprehensive official inspection. The preparation of all the required documents, which are summarized in the environmental impact declaration, lasts several months comprises 4 folder and has to be submitted 28th times.
Designation of areas becomes legally binding
    (October 16th, 2004)
A valid, adequate designation of areas "Grassland wind energy plant" is substantial for the construction of a wind energy plant. For the wind park Pischelsdorf the required designation of areas for 16 wind energy plants became legally binding at Oct. 16th, 2004. All district council decisions were decided unanimously. A 61% accepted referendum preceded the rededication application at the provincial government of Lower Austria.
Wind park referendum with high acceptance
    (July 11th, 2004)
The district council decided to carry out a referendum before applying for a rededication necessary for assembling the wind energy plants. After a very intense road show lasting several weeks an overwhelming majority of 61% voted for a realisation of the wind park at July 11th, 2004 with an extraordinary voter participation of 64%. Very delightful was a general acceptance in every electoral constituency of at least 57%, showing a broad acceptance in all districts.
